There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children. One of these is roots, the other, wings.

What is The Safe and Sound Protocol?
The Safe and Sound Protocol is a non-invasive, listening intervention designed to help you feel better, think better, and connect better.
The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is an evidence-based therapy designed to reduce sound sensitivities and improve auditory processing, behavioral state regulation, and social engagement behaviors through filtered music. As a practical application of Polyvagal Theory, the SSP acts as a non-invasive, acoustic vagal nerve stimulator, helping to retune the nervous system to better support connection, collaboration and resilience.
Who can benefit?
The Safe and Sound Protocol helps adults and children to better regulate their emotions and their behavior, as well as helping them with social engagement. It is designed to be used in conjunction with other therapies to enhance outcomes for ADHD, Anxiety, Autism, Trauma-related difficulties and Auditory Processing difficulties. At Deeply Rooted, I believe that human behavior is the outward reaction of a foundational nervous system response to the world and our environment.

“My son’s journey with SSP has been amazing. I will admit, I was skeptical at first. I am now a true believer in all the good it can do! We have seen so many improvements in our son. He struggled with separation anxiety for almost 2 years following a traumatic hospital stay. We have gone from him sleeping in our bed every night for nearly 2 years to him now sleeping independently. He started kindergarten and for the first half of the year he would start crying the moment he woke up and had to be pulled from my car at drop off. He now walks in with a smile on his face and loves being at school! We have seen major improvements in his picky eating, his confidence, his willingness to try new things, and his overall independence. I can say with total confidence that SSP is what helped my son to become more confident and independent and I am so incredibly thankful to Ashlyn for walking us through this program!”
